
We proudly present two new and exclusive opportunities to represent Mips Protection as Regional Sales Managers on the US East Coast (North & South). We are looking to hire in PA, NJ or VA to cover the northern territory and either FL, GA, SC or NC to cover the south.
Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager Safety, the Regional Sales Manager will educate and sell the Mips® brain protection system for industrial safety helmets to the region’s PPE market. The initial focus will be commercial construction, utilities, and the O&G segments, but any PPE-related industries could be targeted in the following years.
The sell-in and education work will be executed through traditional sales work (such as cold calls, setting up joint calls, making sales presentations, etc.), initiating field trials and closing deals, and delivering education, training, PR and marketing activities.
The sales, education, PR and marketing activities will be directed towards manufacturers of safety helmets, distributors, unions, end-user companies, end-user individuals, media and other instances that could be relevant to increase awareness of Mips in the territory.
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for setting up and presenting a Sales and Marketing plan for the East Coast region based on corporate targets, strategies, and KPIs, to be finally approved by the Senior Business Development Manager Safety and/or CEO.
This position will require travel 50% of the time.
The RSM's must be located in either:
- North - PA, NJ, VA
- South - Northern FL, GA, SC or NC
Ideally, with major airport access.
Regional Sales Manager – East Coast
- Drive End-user demand using Mips to protect rotational motion in construction and other industries through customer presentations, education, trade shows, and supporting partner brands’ sales forces and IMR groups’ sales forces.
- Develop and nurture relationships with our Partner Brands.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key distributors and rep groups.
- Develop and nurture relationships with new End-users, key decision-makers and current and prospective End-User customers.
- Support our partner brands’ sales process from company/product introduction through final presentation and customer agreement to purchase:
- Focus on making Mips a must-have requirement with End-users
- Support our partner brands in the territory.
- Expand sales within existing End-user accounts and keep track of account activities to respond to new developments and changes.
- Meet or exceed the Annual Sales Plan metric.
- Manage Expenses within the assigned budget.
- Create new business opportunities and develop and execute complex selling strategies to win business.
- Develop and execute individual sales strategies to include targeted End-users
- Demonstrate strong territory management skills with the ability to network and generate leads, develop sales plans and manage results effectively:
- Execute sales plans and strategies that reach potential End-user customers within the territory and identify new End-user clients with oversight of the RFP deliverable
- Manage the distribution and independent manufacturers’ reps to support Partner Brands.
- Demonstrate strong selling skills:
- Apply an action and results-oriented sales bias.
- Prospect and qualify leads, deliver demos and support Partner Brands to close sales.
- Effectively and successfully execute the regional sales plan and meet or exceed the regional sales goal established by the Senior Business Development Manager Safety.
- Discover and relay competitive intelligence to the Product Management Team by being fluent on all competitors and ensuring the ability to articulate Mips strength/value proposition compared to competitors’ weaknesses.
- Support the Product Management team’s New Product placement plans and Voice of Customer activities.
You have already accomplished (required):
- 5+ year’s technical sales with a manufacturer in industrial safety
- 5+ year’s Sales Region Management
- Proficiency in using all key Office Systems (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
You may have already accomplished (preferred):
- Familiarity using CRM systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or another related field
